The United States Association for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (USASBE) is a premier organization dedicated to expanding the academic discipline of entrepreneurship through research, education, and practice. The organization represents the largest gathering of academic faculty, entrepreneurship program directors, and entrepreneurship center directors in the United States. With a mission focused on economic development and advancement through entrepreneurship, USASBE is a growing organization with more than 800 members worldwide.

Each January USASBE hosts a conference where members gather to share knowledge and best practices on various domains within entrepreneurship such as public policy, outreach, research, minority and women entrepreneurship, technology entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship education. A highlight of the USASBE annual conference is the USASBE Entrepreneurship Awards Program. We are now accepting applications for ourUSASBE Entrepreneurship Education Awardsand encourage you to consider nominating a program, course, or faculty member for one of our various awards. USASBE offers nine awards:

1. National Model Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program
2. National Model MBA Entrepreneurship Program
3. National Model Ph.D. Entrepreneurship Program
4. Outstanding Specialty Entrepreneurship Program
5. Innovative Entrepreneurship Education Courses
6. Innovative Pedagogy for Entrepreneurship Education
7. Global Entrepreneurship Education Award
8. Emerging Entrepreneurship Program
9. Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year

The deadline for submission to the USASBE Entrepreneurship Education Awards is October 2. If you intend to enter, I would encourage you to do so as soon as possible. These prestigious awards provide each of us with the chance to bring national recognition to our work and our institutions.Please remember that theGlobal Entrepreneurship EducationandEmerging Entrepreneurship Educationawards were both new to the awards program in 2010.
