The deadline for authors of accepted abstracts to submit the final paper is April 30, 2010. The early registration deadline is also April 30, 2010. In order for your paper to be included in the ISBN registered Conference Proceedings and the Conference Handbook, all presenting authorsMUST be registered delegates by April 30, 2010. ECSB Double Bill: Webinar and Policy Conference
The European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) is showcasing two FREE events later this month under the title, ‘The Future for Entrepreneurship and SME Policies in European Countries.’ On April 29, Anders Lundström of theSwedish Foundation for Small Business Research will be the featured presenter for an interactive webinar. On May 5, ECSB will hold a one day conference in Stockholm, Sweden at the Lundqvist & Lindqvist conference center. We encourage all ECSB and ICSB members to register for one, if not both, of the FREE events listed here. ECSB has put together a tremendous program that features well-known scholars and researchers who will discuss entrepreneurship today and the expectations for future growth in Europe.
Unfolding Innovation Seminar in Salerno, Italy on April 23, 2010
ICSB, together with the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB), the University of Salerno and the George Washington University, is proud to present Unfolding Innovation: Promoting and Sustaining the Culture of Innovation. This one day seminar will focus on experiences from the Dell Small Business Excellence Award in Italy and the case of 2008 Italian National Winnner, Tecnomodel. CEO Daniele Scotucciwill talk about his company, their experiences, and the journey he has taken to success. Other presenters include Prof Roberto Parente, Prof. Ayman El Tarabishy, Prof. Marco Cucculelli, Prof. Luca Iandoli, and Prof. Mario Sorrentino.

ICSB Global Entrepreneurship Seminaron April 29, 2010 at the George Washington University
As part of USA President Barack Obama’s Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship, ICSB will host a 2 1/2 hour seminar at the George Washington University School of Business titled, 'National Factors Affecting Business Creation: A Global Assessment.' The seminar will be moderated by Dr. Ayman El Tarabishy, Executive Director for ICSB and will include presenters; Dr. Paul Reynolds, Distinguished Visiting Professor, Schoolof Public Policy, GeorgeMason University; Mr. Amr Gohar, President, Middle East Council for Small Business andEntrepreneurship(MCSBE); Dr. Lois Stevenson, Visiting Research Fellow, International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Cairo; and Dr. G. Dale Meyer, Distinguished Professor Emeritus at University of Colorado – Boulder. The seminar will focus on detailed analysis of individuals active in business creation and the impact of country characteristics on cross-national differences in participation in the entrepreneurial process.

The Entrepreneurship Program Assessment for USASBE Members
USASBE is pleased to announce the addition of a major new resource for their members. An increasingly important yet vexing issue as entrepreneurship programs continue to expand and become more comprehensive concerns program assessment. How do we know if we are having an impact? Toward this end, we have put together “Entrepreneurship Program Assessment,”which can be found on our website under “Knowledge Resources.” This is a members-only feature. ‘Learning by Doing in Entrepreneurship’ Global Forum in Qingdao, China
The School of Entrepreneurship Management at Feiyang College is the first national approved business management college in China. With four majors currently being offered; business management, innovation management, marketing, and accounting computerization, the college is striving to become one of themost influential entrepreneurial universities in thefuture with a focus on entrepreneurship as its core. On April 9 and 10, Feiyang College hosted their first annual Global Forum aimed to provide a platform for academics, governmental policy-makers, and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and experience related to new venture creation. This year’s Forum featured paper presentations, case studies, workshops and symposium proposals from national representatives, invited guests and international delegates. David Smallbone (President-Elect of ICSB) presented on ‘The Role of Policy in Relation to SME Development,’ Dr. Charles Matthews (Immediate Past-President of ICSB) presented on ‘The Importance of Entrepreneurship in Education and Practice,’ and Dr. Ayman El Tarabishy (Executive Director of ICSB) presented on ‘Creative Destruction and Masterpieces.’ Forum participants were very pleased with the two day event and plan to build on this foundation by strengthening the entrepreneurship community in Chinawith events and communication centered on strategies and policies proven to be effective in sustaining small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship. With support from organizations like the Economic Management College of Tsinghua University, a well-known Chinese institution for research, training, and consulting, the Global Forum is primed to make an impact.
