Welcome to the November 2009 edition of the ICSB BulletinThe ICSB Bulletin has been established to capture the major ICSB news stories of the past month.

Season’s Greetings from the ICSB! For many of us, December is one of the most enjoyable months of the year. It is a time rich in community, charity and happiness. On behalf of the ICSB Board of Directors and Affiliate Presidents, we would like to wish you a very safe and happy holiday season.

The ICSB Bulletin for November provides us with a summary of two affiliate conferences, a preview of two more upcoming conferences, and a number of other organizational and worldwide announcements. Additionally, this month we are proud to introduce a new online News form that will allow the International Office to publish your news stories each month. Following in our commitment to the membership, we encourage members from all around the world to submit your news today!

Global Entrepreneurship Week Newsletter: Nov 20
In Denmark, GEW became the largest ever initiative aimed at promoting growth and entrepreneurship in Denmark. OECD Report on Entrepreneurship's Economic Impact
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) unveiled the first indications of how the economic slump has impacted entrepreneurship in the United States and 11 other countries in 2008 and most of 2009. The report, Timely Entrepreneurship Indicators, shows that firm formation declined and exits increased, which economists say could have significant implications for job creation. Click here to read more...
